This is one of those that was made, the first in the series.\u003cbr\u003e\nThey were originally sold in the legendary London shop Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed and at that time they were being sold for just ten shillings.\u003cbr\u003e\nDimensions: 26.5 in x 23 in (67 cm x 59 cm)\u003cbr\u003e\nCondition: tear and damage repair, some damage remains, poor condition in places, see photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\"Gollum\", originally named Sméagol, was at first a Stoor, one of the three early Hobbit-types. The name Gollum was derived from the sound of his gurgling, choking cough. His life was extended far beyond its natural limits by the effects of possessing the One Ring. At the time of his death, His chief desire was to repossess the Ring that had enslaved him, and he pursued it for many years after Bilbo Baggins found it in Gollum's cave within the Misty Mountains, during the events of The Hobbit. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen framed these colourful and detailed posters can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese posters are sent as unframed.
