At the beginning of the 1920s he went to Munich to study painting and then to Graz, where he studied with Daniel Pauluzzi , Wilhelm Thöny and Alfred Wickenburg . Since 1926 he was a member of the Graz Secession.\u003cbr\u003e\nBetween 1934 and 1936 he studied in Paris, where he attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and met, among others, Robert Delaunay and Fernand Léger , who greatly influenced his artistic work.
