Cie des Grand Express Aeriens shows a two engined Cie des Grand Express Aeriens biplane flying between Paris and London, by the harbour over the Dover-Calais crossing using a \"Goliath\".\u003cbr\u003e\nThese poster is a licenced product from the Air France Museum.\u003cbr\u003e\nPrinted for: Collection Musee Air France\u003cbr\u003e\nDimensions: 39 in x 24.5 in (100 cm x 62 cm)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Compagnie des Grands Express Aériens was a pioneering French airline established 20 March 1919 and operating until merged with Compagnie des Messageries Aériennes to form Air Union on 1 January 1923.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHeadquartered at 3, Rue d'Anjou, Paris, CGEA operated passenger flights from Le Bourget Paris to London's Croydon Aerodrome and also to Lausanne, eventually adding Geneva service in late October 1921. They flew Farman F.60 Goliath aircraft, a design converted from an earlier bomber into a luxury cabin aircraft. They also purchased a ten-passenger Vickers Vimy Commercial, also a converted bomber design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats.
