You can see where they have been removed from the wall, and in some places where they have been glued on with a brush. Fair condition, but dripping with authenticity. Note the tear at the top.\u003cbr\u003e\nDimensions: 40.2 in x 25.2 in (102 cm x 64 cm)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\"Switch on to Capitalcard\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile Capitalcard had only a brief life as a brand (launched in 1985 and superseded by new Travelcard in January 1989), it did make a significant contribution in terms of increasing travel by public transport as well as being a splendid example of close cooperation between the marketing teams at L\u0026amp;SE\/Network SouthEast and London Transport. The routes of Capitalcard can be traced back to 1982 when British Rail and London Transport agreed to work more closely together to promote the improved integration of the two networks. The primary objective was to stimulate increased off peak travel by creating greater awareness of the systems, the ever improving inter-change facilities at stations and the availability of through tickets. Some sections of the network, such as the North London Line, were under utilised and in danger of becoming ‘London‘s forgotten railways‘.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats.
