It takes time to build character, and acquire a soul. Something hasn't lived until it has experience. The same is true of art.

The poster art we choose to put on our walls is very personal statement of what we love and who we are. Once on the wall we will see it every day, so it must be special to us.
We want you to find a conversation piece that others will see and spark questions and conversation and we hope that you find that at Lampposted.

We specialise in:
1. Tolkien Posters, particularly those by:
Pauline Baynes - J.R.R Tolkien's favourite artist.
Alan Lee, John Howe and Ted Naismith - instrumental in creating the artistic vision behind the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings movies.

2. Travel Posters
We all have places in the world which we hold special in our hearts, where we cannot always be near. Travel art on your wall brings it that much closer, especially an authentic original travel poster designed by tourist and travel organisations who have a huge stake in capturing your attention by showing us the beauty of magical places which new replications struggle to match.

3. Art Gallery Posters
Original art from the masters of the arts are beyond the reach of most, and cheap new replications lack gravity and are a dime a dozen. However, there are vintage advertising posters for art gallery exhibitions which retain some of the unique qualities of the original art and setting which allow the art of the artists we love to be accessible to our homes which make far more of a statement than a new reproduction.

4. Guinness Posters
Guinness has one of the most renown advertising departments in the world, and some of the art from the marketing and advertising is second to none. John Gilroy and John Ireland are early masters of their craft, producing some of the most memorable art in the brewing world.
