This poster features "Composition in Red Yellow Blue" from 1921, a painting by Piet Mondrian, this is a Haags Gemeentemuseum poster from The Hague in the Netherlands, now known as "Kunstmuseum Den Haag" or Art Museum of The Hague. The paper is of very high quality.

Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter and theoretician who is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. He is known for being one of the pioneers of 20th-century abstract art, as he changed his artistic direction from figurative painting to an increasingly abstract style, until he reached a point where his artistic vocabulary was reduced to simple geometric elements.
Mondrian's art was highly utopian and was concerned with a search for universal values and aesthetics.
He was a contributor to the De Stijl art movement and group, which he co-founded with Theo van Doesburg. He evolved a non-representational form which he termed Neoplasticism. This was the new 'pure plastic art' which he believed was necessary in order to create 'universal beauty'.
De Stijl is Dutch for "The Style", also known as Neoplasticism, was a Dutch art movement founded in 1917 in Leiden. De Stijl consisted of artists and architects. In a narrower sense, the term De Stijl is used to refer to a body of work from 1917 to 1931 founded in the Netherlands. Proponents of De Stijl advocated pure abstraction and universality by a reduction to the essentials of form and colour; they simplified visual compositions to vertical and horizontal, using only black, white and primary colors.
Because of the age of these posters and their history, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The posters are traditionally folded up and with their age are creased. The good news is that when framed, the creases and tears press up well against glass, and any rough edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.

Shipping - Tracking and Insurance
All poster deliveries use Royal Mail if possible. Some very large posters or charts may require use of a different delivery company.
Items are sent tracked and insured.
Local deliveries are sent Royal Mail 24 Tracked by default, you can upgrade to Special Delivery. Most parcels arrive within the expected timescale, but Royal Mail no longer guarantees delivery to previously set timescales.
International deliveries are sent Royal Mail International Tracked by default, you can upgrade to UPS which usually takes less than a week. The estimate of 3-7 days does not include time spent within the customs service of which delivery companies have not control.

Gift wrapping and packaging
If a poster has been stored folded, it will be sent folded in a cardboard-backed envelope.
If a poster has been stored rolled, it will be sent rolled in a cardboard tube.
If appropriate, posters will be wrapped with tissue paper.
All packaging is sent wrapped with "fragile" tape.
I reuse tubes and envelopes in order to try to minimise packaging.
If you have requested gift wrapping, please indicate what sort of gift it is and I will try to use accommodating paper.
