Les Frères Jacques were a highly influential French vocal quartet, active from 1946 to 1982. They were famous for their unique blend of song, theater, and mime, performing a wide range of material by notable French writers. Known for their distinctive black costumes and highly choreographed, often athletic, stage performances, they brought a sophisticated and often humorous theatricality to French chanson.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters and their history, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The posters are traditionally folded up and with their age are creased. The good news is that when framed, the creases and tears press up well against glass, and any rough edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
