1950s SNCF rail safety poster, Be at least 150cm when you walk along the track, industrial, train rail dangers, retro wall art decor

This French poster is from the period of 1954-1964, commissioned by French rail SNCF to alert rail workers the dangers of working on the railway. This poster shows two rail men measuring a safe distance
"pour circuler le lon des voies " or "to travel along the tracks"
Dimensions: 15.7 in x 11.8 in (40 cm x 30 cm)
Condition: pinholes, some rough edges and a mid fold, a water mark, see photos

This would be a great piece of wall art for a a rail or train themed room, or as an artistic safety notice before the days of health and safety.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years in the classroom are part of the vintage charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
