This French poster by Durupt is from the period of 1954-1964, commissioned by French rail SNCF to alert citizens to the benefits of learning first aid. This poster shows the vigilance required to ensure things are safe.
Dimensions: 15.7 in x 11.8 in (40 cm x 30 cm)
Condition: repaired tear damage bottom left, a fold, see photos
The captions are, "Les Premier Soins. vous eviteront l'hospital" which broadly translates to "First Aid will help you avoid the hospital"
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
These posters will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
