An outstanding vintage French poster from 1953 for the 6th Regional Festival for Wines from the Alsace region of France.
The wine festivities are from about the Alsace region of Colmar and including, Selestat, Ribeauville, Guebwiller & Munster,
It shows a beautiful image of a floral botanical column with wine, music and agriculture all rolled into one.
Fantastic wear and patina

For several decades now, the Foire aux vins d’Alsace wine fair has become the region’s largest wine event. The programme features 10 days of exhibitions, entertainment, concerts and – above all – 10 days of celebrating Alsatian wine. The event – part trade fair and part food and wine exhibition – brings together 300 exhibitors and winemakers at Colmar’s Parc des Expositions and is a fantastic showcase for the region’s wines. The first Alsace Wine Festival, known as the Fête des Vins d'Alsace, was held in 1946. This annual event celebrates the region's rich winemaking heritage and showcases the exceptional wines produced in Alsace, a region in northeastern France famous for its white wines, particularly Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris.

The festival typically includes wine tastings, parades, music, and festivities, all aimed at honoring the traditions of Alsace winemaking and promoting the region's wines. The Fête des Vins d'Alsace is now one of the most important wine festivals in France.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. This poster has been stored folded, so there are crease marks which shouldn't be very noticeable under pressed glass.

These posters will be delivered in a cardboard backed envelope for protection.
