This is a charming original Italian lithograph travel poster from Milan and shows the spires of the Duomo, or Milan Cathedral reaching up into the sky. It is also known as Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica of the Nativity of Saint Mary.
On the left, there's a prominent white silhouette that strongly resembles the Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), particularly its spires and some gothic architectural details like a quatrefoil.
On the right, there's an abstract composition of colorful shapes (turquoise, red, brown, black, purple, light blue) against a dark background. These shapes might represent other aspects of Milan, perhaps modern architecture, art, or just a dynamic, abstract representation of the city's energy.
There's also a small green logo with "ENIT" visible, which stands for "Ente Nazionale Italiano per il Turismo" (Italian National Tourist Board), further confirming its origin as official Italian tourism promotion.

The Milan Cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete: construction began in 1386, and the final details were completed in 1965. It is the largest church in Italy—the larger St. Peter's Basilica is in the State of Vatican City, a sovereign state—and the second largest in Europe and the third largest in the world.

Marcello Nizzoli (1887-1969) was an influential Italian artist and industrial designer known for his Art Deco and Modernist posters. He designed iconic advertisements for clients like Campari (famous for bold, Cubist-influenced designs) and Olivetti, where he also shaped product design. His posters featured strong geometric forms and dynamic compositions, contributing significantly to mid-20th century Italian graphic design.

Milan is a city in northern Italy, capital of Lombardy, and the second-most populous city proper in Italy after Rome and n is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Europe.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
