This original exhibition lithograph poster is from the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, for an exhibition in 1964 featuring city street and monument drafting from François Roger de Gaignières.
The exhibition, "La France Monumentale vers 1700," features a drawing from his collection, which he sold to King Louis XIV in 1711. The main parts of his archive are now split between the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BNF) and the Bodleian Library in Oxford..

François Roger de Gaignières was a French antiquary and collector renowned for creating a monumental visual and documentary archive of France's historical heritage. His detailed drawings are often the only surviving records of the medieval heritage destroyed during the French Revolution.
The Collection: He hired artists, like Louis Boudan, to travel across France and draw countless monuments, costumes, and especially sepulchral tombs of French nobility and royalty.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
