This is a poster by Rene Montiex from 1965 from the Galerie du Passeur in Paris advertising an exhibition for "oeuvres recentes" or "recent works". The image itself shows an abstract image of stark, straight lines, when intersecting with others, beautifully form boats and sailing ships moored in a harbour.
This was his second exhibition of many.

René Monteix was ​​a French doctor and painter. After the Second World War , René Monteix settled on the heights of Hyères in the house which belonged to the musician Ambroise Thomas . There he painted paintings featuring characters from the Provençal people, views of the emerging oil industry on the banks of the Mediterranean or even landscapes of Haute Provence , the Cévennes or the Camargue .

Because of the age of these posters and their history, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The posters are traditionally folded up and with their age are creased. The good news is that when framed, the creases and tears press up well against glass, and any rough edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
