1967 Scorpio Poster, Zodiac Astrology Star Sign, by Fred Adams, Funky Features, San Francisco, Psychedelic, Hippy New Age, wall art decor

Original Fred Adams psychedelic Scorpio poster from the Astrology Zodiac, one of the twelve star signs commissioned by Jack Leahy (“Funky Jack”), of San Francisco’s Funky Features, in 1967. The poster shows two women, one with the tail of a scorpian.
Apparently if you have a UV light or similar then the poster will glow in luminescence in the right light. That's a different piece of art!
Funky Features was originally a home recording studio in an Edwardian house that quickly became a popular recording location for Big Brother and the Holding Company, Cold Blood, Steve Miller, and others.
Printed in San Francisco by Funky Features.
Artist: Fred Adams
Distributed in the UK by Instor Marketing Services
Dimensions: 27.5 in x 19 in (70 cm x 49 cm)

The words in the M circle say, "Scorpio Pelvis Reproductive System Eliminaton".

Scorpio (♏︎) is the eighth astrological sign in the zodiac, originating from the constellation of Scorpius. It spans 210°–240° ecliptic longitude. Under the tropical zodiac (most commonly used in Western astrology), the Sun transits this sign on average from October 23 to November 22. Under the sidereal zodiac (most commonly used in Hindu astrology), the Sun is in Scorpio from approximately November 16 to December 15. Depending on which zodiac system one uses, someone born under the influence of Scorpio may be called a Scorpio or a Scorpion.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
