1961 The Magic Circle Festival Poster, The World's Greatest Magicians, Scala Theatre, London, wall art decor

This is a poster from 1968 for "The Magic Circle Christmas Box" at King George's Hall, Great Russell Street, London WC1.
The magic Cirle Presents - "Stars of the famous Magic Circle."
Printed in England by Tomes of Leamington
Dimensions: 19 in x 13 in (51 cm x 33 cm)

The Magic Circle is a British organisation dedicated to promoting and advancing the art of magic. Applicants must qualify for membership, either through a performance exam or by a written thesis on a branch of magic, after which they are designated Members of The Magic Circle. The Circle was founded in 1905, and was male-only until 1991. There is a junior branch, the Young Magicians Club.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
