Kosset Carpets was a pioneering British brand founded in the mid-1950s that revolutionized the industry by mass-producing the new, affordable tufted carpet. Backed by a consortium of traditional manufacturers, Kosset used synthetic fibers and modern, American-style marketing to make wall-to-wall carpeting accessible to the average UK household. The brand is famously associated with its clever advertising, which often featured a white cat mascot to emphasize the product's luxurious softness and easy-to-clean qualities. While the original company was eventually absorbed into larger groups, the Kosset name endures today on modern carpet ranges focusing on stain resistance and durability.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
