A colourful original Austrian ski poster from the 1970s in Salzburg, showing a number of skiers disembarking from their ski chalet across brand new powder snow. It is for winter sports in the Schlossalm area in the Gastein Valley of the Austrian Alps.

The Schlossalm – Angertal – Stubnerkogel ski area is the biggest contiguous ski region in Gastein Valley, straddling elevations between 860 and 2,300 m above sea level. The numerous pistes dropping more than 1,000 vertical meters promise variety-packed skiing and snowboarding enjoyment – perfectly networked by means of modern gondolas and ski lifts.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm. Note the slight discolouration on the lower part of the poster from storage.
When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
