1973 John Pitre Poster, Tomorrow, American visionary art painter and surrealist, post apocolyptic world, ruins and cavemen, wall art decor

This is a surrealist John Pirte poster from 1973 titled "Tomorrow". It shows a post apocolyptic world where all man has made has been destroyed and lies in ruins, and humans have been forced to begin again.
Dimensions: 24.5 in x 34.5 in (88 cm x 62 cm)

John Pitre is an American visionary art painter based in Hawaii. He has been called the most bankable living American surrealist. His art addresses issues such as ecology, overpopulation, responsibility for stewardship of the Earth, the quest to understand the mysteries of the universe, and the fragility of life and of relationships. Posters of his paintings were very popular in the 1960s and 1970s.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
