Roland Petit was a renowned French ballet company director, choreographer, and dancer. He founded the Ballets des Champs-Élysées and the Ballets de Paris and choreographed many famous ballets, Teresina (also referred to as Teresina Boronat) was a dancer. She danced with Roland Petit in ballets.
Yves Brayer was a renowned French painter, celebrated for his figurative art, especially vibrant landscapes of Provence and other Mediterranean regions. A prolific artist, he worked in oils, watercolors, and lithography. Besides painting, Brayer also designed sets and costumes for opera and theater, collaborating with notable figures in the dance world. He held significant positions, including teaching at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and curating the Musée Marmottan.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
