The Majikat Earth Tour in 1976 was Cat Stevens' ambitious final hurrah before he famously stepped away from music for decades. It was a grand spectacle, featuring magicians, synchronized films, and elaborate stage sets, showcasing his artistic peak. The tour captured him at the height of his fame, playing to huge crowds across North America and Europe. While the concerts were in '76, the acclaimed live album and DVD, Majikat: Earth Tour 1976, wasn't released until 2004, offering fans a rare glimpse into this pivotal moment. The footage, primarily from his Williamsburg, Virginia show, features a comprehensive setlist of hits like "Peace Train" and "Father and Son."
Cat Stevens now known as Yusuf Islam is a British singer-songwriter and musician known for his distinctive musical style, which primarily encompasses folk, rock, and pop. He is widely regarded as a significant figure in the "singer-songwriter" genre that emerged in the early 1970s.
It's a crucial document for understanding the artist just before he became Yusuf Islam and embarked on his long hiatus.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
