The 20th Century Steel Band was a British-based steel band active in the mid-1970s. Their 1976 album, "Yellow Bird Is Dead," featured a unique blend of funk, soul, jazz, and steel band sounds.
They're best known for their 1975 track, "Heaven & Hell Is on Earth," which became a popular sample in hip-hop, used by artists like the Black Eyed Peas and LL Cool J. Though they had a short run (roughly 1975-1977), their music found new life through these samples.
Rodney Matthews is a British illustrator and conceptual designer of fantasy and science-fiction and designer of posters and musical album covers.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
