1980 Château de Gaussan Travel Poster, by Michel Saugen?, 14th century castle near Narbonne, travel tourism, wall art decor

A charming vintage travel poster promoting the Chateau de Gaussan near Narbonne in the south of France.
XIII sicle pres narbonne, 13th century near Narbonne.
Dimensions: 27.5 in x 19.5 in (70 cm x 50 cm)

The Château de Gaussan is a castle, much altered in the 19th century, in the commune of Bizanet in the Aude département of France.

The castle dates originally from the 14th century. It is particularly noted for the east and south façades and their corresponding roofs, the staircase, the interior decor of the library and the great hall of the corps de logis, as well as the 19th century chapel and 14th century lower hall.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
