This origianal Franz Hubmann exhibition poster is from the Kulturreferat der Stadt in Graz for a 1980 exhibition featuring "Picasso in a Californian Villa" from 1957.

Hubmann ranks as one of the great pictorial documenters of our times, creating a photographic trail through the cultural and social history of the country. Hubmann’s work saw him produce images from across milieus, countries, and motifs, though mainly with human beings at the forefront. His artist portraits, taken across five decades, reveal his skill at capturing these geniuses in moments of candour, contemplation or some other rare expression.
The subjects in the exhibition read like a who’s who of modern Austrian and international art. Among those portrayed by Hubmann’s camera: Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol, Alberto Giacometti, Maria Lassnig, Arnulf Rainer, Oskar Kokoschka, Georges Braque, and Fritz Wotruba.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
