Paterson Ewen was a highly original Canadian painter known for his dramatically shifting styles. His hallmark is the creation of large-scale "phenomenascapes" starting in the 1970s. These works famously use an electric router to gouge and carve images into massive sheets of plywood, which he then paints. His subjects are typically cosmic and natural forces, depicting elements like the moon, comets, rain, and the Northern Lights with immense physicality and expressive texture.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard-backed envelope for protection. They have been stored folded.
