This is a Danish postern for Summer, one of the Four Seasons. Very bold and colourful, a splash of colour to offset what is usually a white Scandanavian wall.

Leif Mosevang is interested in the colors and their interplay. His artist's garden is landscaped with long grass paths and tall trees that provide composition and rhythm. The summer flowers, perennials and the flowering shrubs are put together to create a symphony of sonorous chords, dark blue-violet - light orange - dark blue-green, light yellow-green - light red, cobalt green - carmine red - zinnob green, aurora pink - ultramarine violet - light crab ...

Leif Mosevang knows a lot about gardens and plants, he was trained as a gardener before he came to the academy in Oslo in the early 1960s and he has cultivated and cared for his garden in Sondrup Bakker since he returned to Denmark as a trained painter in 1969. With his eyes and with brushes and spatulas in his hand, Leif Mosevang safely and always detects slightly surprising structures, light and shadow, a calm surface, a vertical, a diagonal and colors - lots of colors!

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

These posters will be delivered in a cardboard backed envelope for protection.
