This black, beautiful and very cleanly designed poster is from the Danskt 50-tal ("Danish 1950s") exhibition held in Stockholm in 1981 was a highly significant design showcase, celebrating the golden age of Danish design. It was instrumental in bringing renewed attention to the groundbreaking work of Danish designers from the mid-20th century.

Arne Jacobsen was a Danish architect and designer, renowned as a pioneer of modernist design and Danish Modern. He is celebrated for blending functionality, simplicity, and elegance in both architecture and furniture. His architectural achievements include landmarks like the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and Munkegård School, showcasing his minimalist and human-centered approach. Equally iconic are his furniture designs, such as the Egg Chair, Swan Chair, Ant Chair, and Series 7 Chair, which remain timeless and widely produced. Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
