1981 Star Wars Radio Poster, C-3PO See-Threepio by Celia Strain, Lucasfilm, wall art cinema film memorabilia
This is a poster from 1981 advertising the Star Wars radio programme featuring C3PO or See-Threepio at the microphone with some Tie Fighters roaring around in space. It's an interesting poster with art from Celia Strain beyond the normal movie poster art.

Following the huge success of Star Wars, a thirteen part radio programme of the film was created for NPR (National Public Radio). This included additional scenes and made use of the film's distinctive sound effects, together with John Williams' fantastic musical score. The radio programme featured the original actors Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO). Celia Strain designed a charming poster to advertise the programme, with a gleaming C-3PO taking centre stage in front of the microphone.
Because of the age of these posters and their history, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The posters are traditionally folded up and with their age are creased. The good news is that when framed, the creases and tears press up well against glass, and any rough edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
