This Anne Madden exhibition poster is from the Fondation Maeght in Paris for a 1983 exhibition celebrating paintings and drawings. This one masterfully fades to what looks like glare (but is part of the art) as it descends lower in the artwork.
In the 1980s Madden stopped painting for a time and devoted herself to drawing. This resulted in a series of large works in graphite and oil paint on paper entitled Openings. These works formed the core of an exhibition at the Fondation Maeght in 1983.
Dimensions: 32.5 in x 19.5 in (83 cm x 50 cm)

Anne Madden is an English-born abstract painter, who is well known in both Ireland and France where she has divided her time since her marriage to Louis le Brocquy in 1958.

What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
