This original exhibition poster is from the Matsuya Ginza Department Store in Tokyo and is for an Ole Kortzau exhibition in 1983 featuring a very clean and colourful modernist version showing a billowing red and white striped sail in the colours of Japan.

Ole Kortzau is a Danish architect, visual artist and designer who has had his own drawing studio since 1973, where he works with glass, porcelain, graphics, silver and textiles. He previously designed for Georg Jensen, Kvadrat, The Royal Porcelain Factory and Holmegaard.
Matsuya Co., Ltd. (株式会社松屋) is a Japanese department store in Tokyo. Founded in 1869, it has stores in Ginza (est. 1925) and Asakusa (est. 1930s). The Ginza branch is the company's headquarters.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
