This exhibition poster is from the Crafts Council Gallery for the 1985 exhibition featuring a "National Collection of Contemporary Craft" including ceramics, glass, jewellery, metal, textiles, furniture, toys, wood, lettering and books.
In the picture are a box chair from Erik de Graaff 1979, a rug from Mary Farmer 1983 and a jug frmo Alison Britton from 1983.

In 1971 the Crafts Advisory Committee (CAC) was formed to advise the government ‘on the needs of the artist craftsman and to promote a nation-wide interest and improvement in their products’. Over the last 50 years, the Crafts Council’s role is in advising government, and supporting makers.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard-backed envelope for protection. They have been stored folded.
