This is a 1986 poster of André Duculty's watercolour of a row of fishing boats at Port Philippe from an exhibition in France from the La Ville de Vincennes.

Son of an engraver, André Duculty was trained in Fernand Léger's workshop. His talent earned him many prizes and a regular presence at trade fairs. He quickly gave up painting to devote himself almost exclusively to painting in watercolours. This allowed him to capture the motif on the spot, particularly along the French coast and in the Paris region.

What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.

Because of the age of these posters and their history, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The posters are traditionally folded up and with their age are creased. The good news is that when framed, the creases and tears press up well against glass, and any rough edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
