1990s Chessbase Poster, advertising for online chess company, wall art decor

This poster is German from the online company "Chessbase", teaching people to play chess on computers since 1986.
Dimensions: 23 in x 17 in (59 cm x 43 cm)

ChessBase GmbH is a German company that makes and sells chess software, maintains a chess news site, and operates an internet chess server for online chess. Founded in 1986, it maintains and sells large-scale databases, containing the moves of recorded chess games. The databases organise data from prior games, and provide engine analyses of games while endgame tablebases offer optimal play in some endgames.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard-backed envelope for protection. They have been stored folded.
