1990s Rene Magritte Poster, La Clairvoyance (Clairvoyance) Magritte The Collection, Louisiana, surrealism, gallery exhibition wall art decor
This Rene Magritte exhibition poster is "La Clairvoyance" or "Clairvoyance" from 1936. Here Magritte depicts himself in the act of painting. He looks at an egg but conjures a bird on the canvas, here's no visual relationship between the shape of that egg and the form of the bird he is depicting.
Dimensions: 23.5 in x 31.5 in (60 cm x 80 cm)
René Magritte was a Belgian surrealist artist. He became well known for creating a number of witty and thought-provoking images. Often depicting ordinary objects in an unusual context, his work is known for challenging observers' preconditioned perceptions of reality. His imagery has influenced pop art, minimalist art, and conceptual art.
What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard-backed envelope for protection. They have been stored folded.
