This is a Friedensreich Hundertwasser poster from 1992 of his 1991 works 685 "If you walk across the fields you come to Grossweissenbach" - an ecological poster referring to the town.
"Creative Architecture in Harmony with Nature"
Commissioned by and created for Österreich Werbung (Austrian National Tourist Office), Vienna, in 1991, together with a second poster dedicated to the environment (see APA 247). The poster was printed in six language versions. In 1992 it was redesigned by Hundertwasser for his architecture travelling exhibition "Kreative Architektur - Gleichnis der Schöpfung" (Creative Architecture in Harmony with Nature), 1992/93.
The printing process for this poster is very different to most. It is produced using an 8-color premium offset printing process on 250 g/m² Chromolux paper. In a complicated process there were blue, glitter blue and shiny glossy reflective foil. The process takes four different printing companies to complete.

Hundertwasser was an Austrian visual artist and architect who also worked in the field of environmental protection. Hundertwasser stood out as an opponent of "a straight line" and any standardization, expressing this concept in the field of building design. His best known work is the Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna, which has become a notable place of interest in the Austrian capital, characterised by imaginative vitality and uniqueness.

Hundertwasser's comment on the work, "I lived and painted for a long time all alone in an old mill on the Kamp, with kerosene lamps, wood-burning stove and water from the brook, equidistant from four villages. One of these was Grossweissenbach. You got there by going first through the woods and then through the fields. "

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
