This is a piece of The Cure history, personally owned by Chris Parry, "The Cure's first manager/producer. Paris is a live album recorded by The Cure at Le Zénith de Paris, in October 1992 during their Wish tour, but released in October 1993. The band announced the album in July 1993. Paris was released at the same time as Show, which was recorded in the United States. The album features more cult classics like "The Figurehead" and "One Hundred Years" than Show, which is generally more single-friendly.

Chris Parry is a record producer and former musician, known for being the former manager and producer for The Cure and for founding Fiction Records.
In 1978, Parry listened to a demo tape by the Cure and was particularly impressed with "10:15 Saturday Night" and also "Boys Don't Cry". He called them up and a meeting was arranged for August at Polydor's office in Stratford Place. After the meeting, Robert Smith invited Parry to watch them perform at the Laker's Hotel in Redhill on 27 August. After the gig, Parry invited them to a drink at a nearby pub, The Home Cottage, at which he told the Cure he wanted them to be his first signing, which they agreed to and they officially signed in September.

These posters were purchased from a vinyl record shop. The owner of the shop got a call from Chris Parry who was looking offload his entire Cure merchandise/collection before returning to New Zealand. Within the week the owner drove up to London to his house and picked up his entire collection including vinyl, tshirts, and posters amongst other things.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard backed envelope for protection.
