Palermo De Scena first reappeared in 1995, the year in which the Festino was renewed and Palermo di Scena was born, an event of culture and entertainment which ran from 14 July to 14 September, with a series of four events per evening, and which in a couple of years it became accredited as one of the largest art events in Europe. The speed of success, however, cannot be attributed only to the high level of choices and the happiness of some inventions, but also, if not above all, to a civil idea that was at the foundation of its reason for being.
Before being a calendar of shows and exhibitions of various arts, Palermo di Scena was a social project with objectives: to establish a relationship with the citizen, to provide him with an opportunity for further cultural growth, to transform the pride of belonging to the city from an abstract feeling into instrument of real ambition.

The 1996 festival, the 372nd told the story of the plague brought to Palermo by a ship coming from Tunis on 7 May 1624, on the evening of 14 July 1996, an edition of the Festino renews the traditional appointment of Palermitans with Santuzza. Over three hundred thousand people attended the exciting event until late into the night .

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

These posters will be delivered in a cardboard backed envelope for protection.
