4. Finduilas is led past Turin at the Sack of Nargothrond
"And while he was yet held by the eyes of the dragon in torment of his mind, and could not stir, the orcs drove away the herded captives, and they passed nigh to Turin and crossed over the bridge. Among them was Finduilas, and she cried out to Turin as she went."
Finduilas is led past Turin at the Sack of Nargothrond is a scne containing all the elements of a classical tragedy. In it Nasmith attempts to realise his ambition to portray some of teh weighty themes The Silmarillion embodies, and which set it apart as a work of supreme imaginative genius; the full, deep potential of Tolkien as a myth maker. It also gave him teh opportunity to present the great dragon Glaurung as both intelligent and terrifying.
