This original Andy Warhol exhibition poster is from the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen, Denmark for a 2010 exhibition featuring Madonna & Self Portrait with Skeleton's Arm (after Munch) from 1984. The original Madonna and self portrait paintings by Edvard Munch are both from 1895. It gives a colourful "Warhol" take on Munch's rather darker art form.

Andy Warhol was an American visual artist, film director and producer. A leading figure in the pop art movement, Warhol is considered one of the most important American artists of the second half of the 20th century. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, advertising, and celebrity culture that flourished by the 1960s, and span a variety of media, including painting, silkscreening, photography, film, and sculpture.

Edvard Munch was a Norwegian painter. His best known work, The Scream, has become one of the iconic images of world art. Studying at the Royal School of Art and Design in Kristiania (today's Oslo), Munch began to live a bohemian life under the influence of the nihilist Hans Jæger, who urged him to paint his own emotional and psychological state ('soul painting'). From this emerged his distinctive style.

What is special about exhibition and gallery posters is that they are an affordable way of getting good, unique art on the walls, as although it is not an artists original, neither is it something that has been mass reproduced.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They are delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
