Original 1990 Absolut Britto Advertising Poster – Romero Britto Pop Art

An original period Absolut Vodka advertising poster featuring Romero Britto’s exuberant “Absolut Britto” artwork from 1990.
Created at the beginning of Britto’s international career, the design transforms the familiar Absolut bottle into a brilliantly coloured Pop Art figure filled with hearts, flowers, musical notes and graphic symbols. The Absolut commission became one of Britto’s earliest widely seen commercial projects and helped bring his distinctive Miami Neo-Pop style to an international audience.

Romero Britto, born in Recife, Brazil in 1963, became associated with Miami and developed a highly recognisable visual language combining saturated colour, heavy black outlines, Pop Art, graffiti and simplified Cubist forms.
