Original Vintage French poster Ni Veuve Ni Joyeuse theatre opera advertising art deco nouveau print Clerise wall art retro 1910s 1919

Bring back the days of art nouveau and art deco to your home. This is an old poster advertising a three-part opera called "Ni Veuve Ni Joyeuse" or "no widow, no joy" by de Altery and Paul Gordeaux, music by Paul Fauchey. Created at the Marseilles Opera House in 1919. Color illustration by Charles Clerise. The format is 80 wide x 120cm tall. Slight folds and tears, But good general condition for this 105-year-old poster. The paper is fine and delicate and should be handled with caution. There are some holes from a hole punch around the side for original mounting, but these will be covered by mats when framing.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the art deco charm.

When framed these colourful and detailed posters can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
