Original Vintage Macmillan Birds Nature Educational Poster House Sparrow Chaffinch Yellow Hammer Linnet print wall art ornithology 1950s

This is a vintage Macmillan ornithilogy poster of the "Hard-billed Birds" - House Sparrow, Tree Sparrow, Hedge Sparrow, Chaffinch, Yellow Hammer and Linnet.
Note the £12 which has been written in pencil in the top left corner at some point.
Dimensions: 20.9 in x 16.9 in (53 cm x 43 cm)
Condition: slightly grubby with some edge tears, some rough edges, pencil "seed eaters" at the top.

It is one of the portfolio of posters designed for teaching in the classroom during the 1950s.

Because of the age of these posters, and their use in the classroom, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years in the classroom are part of the vintage charm.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
