Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (30 March 1746 – 16 April 1828) was a Spanish romantic painter and printmaker. He is considered the most important Spanish artist of the late 18th and early 19th centuries and throughout his long career was a commentator and chronicler of his era. Immensely successful in his lifetime, Goya is often referred to as both the last of the Old Masters and the first of the moderns. He was also one of the great portraitists of his time.
The image is of Carlos José Francisco de Paula Gutiérrez of the Rivers and Sarmiento de Sotomayor ( Lisbon , 3 of January of 1779 - Paris , 27 of November of 1822 ), VII Count of Fernan Nunez and I Duke of Fernan Nunez largest of Spain.
I have four of these and I'll send the best quality one first, the one pictured has the most damage and marking. Please ask to see photos of the best remaining ones I have.
Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the charm.
When framed these colourful and detailed posters can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
These posters are sent as unframed. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
