These Rossignol French school posters are a series of posters from the 1950s and 1960s to guide French students through the time of Louis XIV, and how he struggled with the rise of Protestentism and rebellion from the unhappy French peasants.

44 Sous Louis XIV les paysans sont malheureux (Under Louis XIV the peasants are unhappy)
Dimensions: 22 in x 30 in (56 cm x 76 cm)
This would be a great piece of interior design to show the darker side of the 17th and 18th centuriesto reflect a stark and darker mood of the suffering of the populace from religion and famine.
Because of the age of these posters, and their use in the classroom, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years in the classroom are part of the vintage charm. There is one tear in the middle that should be unnoticable when under glass.
When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
These posters are sent as unframed - the wooden frame is not included. They will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
