This is an original 1955 poster from the Shell Oil Company about animal skulls. It explains the types of skulls in the picture, and identifies and describes what each is like, particularly foxes, badgers, hedgehogs, hares, moles and deer. It is from a series that show different natural habitats.

Tristram Paul Hillier RA (11 April 1905 – 18 January 1983) was an English surrealist painter. He was a member of the Unit One group led by Paul Nash.
Curiously, there is some lettering which has been replaced in the text, see the photos.
Because of the age of these posters, and their use in the classroom, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats.
When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.
This poster will be rolled up and delivered in a cardboard tube for protection.
