Vintage USSR Soviet Communist Russia propaganda Story of Cracknels woman denied the Republic Mikhail Cheremnykh poster print wall art 1970s

This is Mikhail Cheremnykh's (1890-1962) 1920 print, "A story of Cracknels for sale to the public and of a woman who denied the republic". Cheremnykh portrayed his posters as a narrative with many panels as he had a background in cartoons.

Dimensions: 15.5 in x 12 in (40 cm x 30 cm)

This is from a set of vintage reprints from 1973 from the Aurora Art Publishers in Leningrad of famous communist posters. They have good vintage age to them, and are not modern reprints.

They are posters from the Russian Museum collection and the Department of Prints of the Saltykov-Shchedrin Public Library.

Not all prints are the same size, and this one requires a trim before it is mounted. When framed these colourful and detailed posters, with vibrant colours can become a centre piece for any room, to remind us of a simpler time.

These posters are sent as unframed. They will be sent in a cardboard backed envelope for protection.
