Vintage WW1 Russian Loans for Freedom Poster, Czarist Russian soldier, war bonds, pre Soviet Communist Russia, wall art decor

This is a vintage mid century Imperial War Museum print of WW1 Czarist Russia was readying for an offensive against the Germans which ultimately failed, and the Russians had to surrender, leading the way to the Russian Revolution.
"Loan of Freedom"
The cost and effort of fighting in World War One took a huge toll on Russia and fuelled the rebellion against the tsar in early 1917. Boris Kustodiev's famous painting of a soldier with a rifle urged Russians to give money to the war effort. The poster was produced in February 1917 to advertise the "Freedom Loan" and the soldier went on to appear in many other posters until the second Russian rebellion in October.
This is an old reprint from the Imperial War Museum, it looks very early and the poster is very aged, its hard to age, it could be from the 1940s up to the 1970s.

Condition: repairs, folds, rough edges, paper aging, pretty beaten up but looks even more authentic.

Because of the age of these posters, there are areas of wear and tear, particularly on the edges. I have done my best to take photos where they are torn or stained. The good news is that when framed, the tears press up well against glass, and edges can be hidden by mats. Any wear picked up from years are part of the vintage charm.

This poster will be sent in a cardboard tube for protection.
